Accessibility Statement
सुगम्यता विवरण
The Alwar Central Co-operative Bank Ltd. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all visitors, including persons with disabilities. This statement describes the accessibility features built into this website and how to reach us if you face any difficulty.
Our Commitment
This website is designed to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and follows the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) 3.0 issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. Rather than relying on external screen-reader downloads, accessibility has been built directly into the site's design so that assistive technology already installed on your device works with it out of the box.
Built-in Accessibility Toolbar
An accessibility toolbar is available at the top of every page, offering:
- Text size controls (A-, A, A+) - increase or decrease the size of all text on the site in four steps, with the current preference remembered as you browse.
- High Contrast mode - toggles a high-contrast colour theme (black background, yellow/white text and borders) for visitors with low vision or colour-vision deficiency.
Both controls apply instantly, site-wide, without reloading the page, and both preferences are remembered for your next visit.
Keyboard Navigation
- Use Tab and Shift + Tab to move forward and backward through links, buttons and form fields.
- Use Enter or Space to activate the focused link or button.
- A "Skip to Main Content" link is available as the very first focusable element on every page, letting keyboard and screen-reader users bypass repeated navigation and jump straight to the page content.
- Focus outlines are clearly visible on every interactive element, including in High Contrast mode.
Screen Reader Compatibility
The site is built with semantic HTML5 elements (headings, lists, landmarks such as header, nav, main and footer) and ARIA roles/labels where native semantics are not enough, so that screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver can announce page structure and controls correctly. Informational images carry descriptive alt text, and purely decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
Reporting an Accessibility Issue
If you encounter any accessibility barrier while using this website, please let us know so we can fix it:
- Submit it through our Grievance page, selecting the "Other" category and mentioning that it is an accessibility issue.
- Or write to us directly via the Contact Us page.
